Story

Swallows Gymnastics club has been a part of the Helston Community for the past 46 years with over 250 members. We offer children training for local children from the age of 2 at our pre school class, through to teenage and adult gymnastic training for those that which to begin at a later stage in their life. We have several elite gymnasts who represent not only the county, but regionally and nationally also. We also offer a key stage gymnasts programme for local schools. Our mission statement is ‘gymnastics for all’. We see Gymnastics as an all inclusive sport and are constantly striving to provide the best facilities possible.

We are currently fundraising to install a 'raised pit', we are unable to build a foam landing pit due to the construction of our premises. This 'raised pit' by Gymnova (please see website for details) gives the same level of safety but with limited need for building works. It’s installation would allow all of our members to practise safely new skills. As an inclusion club, we would then also be in a better position to offer training to the disabled members of our community.
