We are a fully set up Gymnastics facility based in South Woodham Ferrers, Essex. We are a not for profit club that offers gymnastics to the local areas. Whilst we have been in existence since 1983, we moved into our current facility in 2012 where we have expanded our membership and worked hard to create a safe and friendly home for all that use it.

Throughout the month of May we will be running a fundraising scheme to help with our much needed purchase of new foam blocks and pit socks for our pit.

Foam blocks over time wear down and create lots of small broken bits and dust particles which can get in the children's eyes and effect those that suffer with asthma. As such we can now purchase something called a pit sock which covers the foam log and increases their longevity and avoids this happening, making it a much nicer environment for the children to use.

Unfortunately to be able to purchase new blocks and socks, we are looking at over £10 thousand pounds which, when we are still recovering from Covid is a big ask. We have been trying to hold off as long as possible but feel that this is a purchase that needs to happen this year.

As a result of this we have got our thinking hats on and during May we will be asking all the gymnasts to get sponsors for as many blocks from friends, family and neighbours as possible. At £3 a block we think they are a bargain and for every one sold this brings us a little closer to making that purchase!

As a little incentive, at the end of May we will ask for all forms to be returned along with the collected payments and we will tally up to see who has sold the most and be awarding our top sellers with some goodies!
