WeĘĽve raised ÂŁ4,190 to Raise funds in loving memory of George Miller, sadly taken to soon đź’™

    Weymouth, United Kingdom
Funded on Monday, 5th February 2018

Don't have time to donate right now?

    Story

As you may have heard, a tragic accident happened on Monday 28th August 2017 which resulted in the loss of our dear friends little boy, George Miller.

There is nothing we can do to reverse time or bring George back, but we can help ease the financial cost of giving this little angel the send off he deserves.

So we ask our friends and family to donate whatever they can for a memorial in the park where George loved to play. With the permission of the relevant autority, we hope to fund an addition to the playground which George's siblings and all the other children can enjoy for years to come.

Sleep tight little monkey, you're sorely missed and will certainly never be forgotten xxx

I also just wanted to give you all a little update. We are still raising funds & have a few fundraising ideas in the pipeline, including a family fun day. As soon as these have been confirmed I will let you all know. George’s dad & a family friend are running the weymouth half marathon, another friend is running the Camelot half marathon too. We met with the council on Tuesday to discuss the various items that would be best suited to the age/ability range in the park. With this in mind there are several items that were discussed,a bird nest swing,a sunken trampoline but most importantly a large dome climbing frame. All of these things cost a lot of money, we haven't been given exact prices as yet, but we are aware they are over ÂŁ10,000 each. This is without the special surfacing required for everyone's safety. We know it's a huge ask, and a huge target but every penny counts xx
