Hi, I wanted to say a huge thank everyone who has helped raise funds towards George’s memorial & to those who are doing various other things to help raise funds, you are all amazing!! I also just wanted to give you all a little update. We are still raising funds & have a few fundraising ideas in the pipeline,including a family fun day. As soon as these have been confirmed I will let you all know. George’s dad & a family friend are running the weymouth half marathon, another friend is running the Camelot half marathon too. We met with the council on Tuesday to discuss the various items that would be best suited to the age/ability range in the park. With this in mind there are several items that were discussed,a bird nest swing,a sunken trampoline but most importantly a large dome climbing frame. All of these things cost a lot of money, we haven't been given exact prices as yet, but we are aware they are over £10,000 each.This is without the special surfacing required for everyone's safety. We know it's a huge ask, and a huge target but every penny counts xx
