At the moment, the children's area at A&E within hairmyres hospital is pretty bland with nothing interesting to distract children. We want to change this !!

After much research, it has been decided that we would like to contract an art company to design and implement a wall mural for the children which will give opportunity for parents / carers to chat about with their child and be able to distract the child from their pains. There is nothing worse than having a child screaming in pain and nothing around to distract them. There are many companies who are contracted for this type of work however, we need to fundraise at least £3000 to allow this to happen.

We are having a family event on the 3rd March next year, to celebrate our 20th Birthday and all proceeds from that along with our existing £609 will go towards our £3000 target. If we were to meet the figure and beyond, this may possibly give us more scope for further murals in treatments rooms. Any monies given would be very much appreciated regardless of how much and if any businesses would like to give donations or raffles, this too would be fantastic.
