Story

When you work in education for so long, there are always children who leave a lasting imprint on your life. Lewis was definitely one of those children for all sorts of reasons. He first came into my life as a very mischievous and sometimes a naughty 3 year old boy. Years later, he came back to school as a dad himself with his 3 year old Sebastian. He inspired me immediately with his story of battling brain cancer. He was always so positive and didn't let anything stop him doing what he wanted to do. He told me that he loved following my swimming progress and that when he was well enough he would join me in ponty lido for a swim, something that unfortunately never happened. I am attempting to swim the English channel in his memory. This will be 1344 lengths = 21 miles and will be done in stages. I'm hoping to complete this during the school easter holidays. I would love to raise a little money to give to Lewis's family to use to do something in his memory, or to put in a fund for his children for their future.
