Iʼve raised £2,645 to support the Arran Junior Sailing club, Arran Junior Triathlon Club, C.O.A.S.T and RNLI with an ‘alternative Lamlash Splash’

Story
Instead of doing the Lamlash Splash this year, I am going to honour the weekend with a swim challenge and fund raiser split between the Arran Junior Sailing Club, Arran Junior Triathlon Club, C.O.A.S.T and the RNLI With a swim of 24 miles in 24hours.
One mile an hour starting at Midday on Saturday 18th September and finishing with the last swim at 11am on Sunday 19th. (Weather and conditions dependant).
The alternative to the Lamlash Splash…. Of which the entry fee goes towards the Junior Sailing Club and provides an opprtunity for Arran Juniors to learn to sail.
The Junior Triathlon club I coach and swim with swim. We offer equipment, wetsuits and bikes etc to as many children as we can at a nominal cost.
Community of Arran Seabed Trust C.O.A.S.T - without their work and promotion I wouldnt have the Sea to swim in and able to enjoy all the aquatic life.
RNLI - for being there and on call and keeping me safe when i swim every day in the Sea & under take these adventures.
If you’d like to support and or join me and the team for all or part - a Sunset swim, a Midnight BBQ, even a sunrise swim as a bit as a relay you’re more than welcome too and evey penny donated is very much apperciated.

3 years agoBetter late than never! 24 laps done and 24times recorded…… I’m so humbled and appreciative of everyone that has donated and supported me on this challenge and flippant comment…… without the phenomenal background support crew, unknowingly pulling me through the tears of lap 22 & 23 and guiding me around the course screaming words of encouragement and ultimate welcome to Lamlash of the last lap, I would have given up at 21! When’s the next swim??

3 years agoWOW….. Thankyou all for both your words of support and donations….. the weather forecast and plans are beginning to come together. Words cannot express how humbled I am to receive such phenomenal support to my flippant comment of swimming 24miles in 24hours on the 18th September with two weeks notice! Can we make it to £1000 if I change the target?
