Story

Hi - the coaching team at Swindon Supermarine U12's have decided to crowdfund for the purchase of 16 new youth football kits and 16 new youth fleece tops. This will mean that each of our 16 squad members will have the appropriate kit for the next two seasons.

We have taken this decision as it is becoming increasingly difficult to raise the funds needed through sponsorship. We appreciate the sums of money involved have now become too large for small local companies to cover, and many larger companies seem to be distancing themselves from this type of sponsorship in our local area.

As you can all appreciate, many volunteer hours go into the successful running of any grassroots football club, and at Swindon Supermarine for next season there are 16 youth teams across all ages from U7 through to U17, representing more than 150 youth players, all of whom are coached by FA qualified volunteer coaches, and not forgetting all the volunteer support team that include, club secretary, chair, welfare officer, treasurer and other administrative roles.

Our aim is to raise £1000 which will provide a full kit and fleece winter top for  each of our squad at U12 age group, and should last for up to 2 seasons. As we are not likely to raise the amount through sponsorship we are hoping to form a link with a local charity instead, whose good cause and logo could be displayed on the shirts instead of a company logo, thus helping promote a local charity at the same time.

Please give whatever you can to help us continue to provide for our wonderful squad of 16 players, all of whom get an immense amount of enjoyment, social interaction, fun and development, both as footballers and individuals out of their time spent with us.

Many thanks in advance

The coaching team at Swindon Supermarine U12's
