2020 has reminded us that we need each other more than ever. I am launching a new website called Swiss & South that is for every resident in the Swiss Cottage and South Hampstead area and beyond. It is for everyone, from 0 – 99. For those that don’t use the Internet or are very isolated, a condensed sheet of vital numbers will be printed off in one page for Co-vid volunteers to give out and distribute when they deliver necessary medicines and/or food parcels. This will be particularly helpful to people in the community if there is a second wave.

Aside from crisis details for help from volunteers, there will be direction for local residents as to where to find information on: greening up the area for mental and physical health, families focus information especially for those with preschool children in this area, local artists and suppliers, promoting intergenerational friendships with happy to talk benches, and once weekly specific updates on one new key thing happening in the area each week. It is hoped that through creating this website and paper possibilities that everyone on in Swiss&South can feel calm, joy and connected.
