In the midst of adversity, hope can still be found.

The Prophet (pbuh) said: “The believer’s shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity.” (Al-Tirmidhi)

On 19th February 2016, by the will of Allah (swt), Haji Abdul Basith from District Moulvibaza, Sylet, Bangladesh passed away after being diagnosed with bowel cancer. He left behind many loved ones including his spouse, children, grandchildren and great grand children. He was a loving, caring man and always wanted the best putting his family first at every opportunity. His presence is greatly missed by all that knew him, he was a giving man and this fundraising project reflects his charitable persona.

The aim of this fundraising is to raise £10,000 for Aleppo, Syria in the name of Haji Abdul Basith as a form of Sadaqah Jaria. If we all work together as an Ummah to raise this, inshallah Allah will reward each and every one of you for your kind donation which will save lives in Syria, remember by giving you are not losing but gaining and we all need to prepare for when our life here in the dunya will come to an end. From donating a penny (yes you heard it, no amount is too small) to a pound, please help us reach this target after all we will take our deeds into our grave and not our wealth.

We will be donating 100% of the funds to Aleppo, Syria.
The bombardment of Aleppo in early September 2016 left its residents choking on chlorine.
In the second chlorine attack to hit the city, there were reports of barrel bombs being dropped by helicopters. The greatest loss of life in September occurred after the collapse of a temporary ceasefire negotiated between the United States and Russia, when hundreds of airstrikes killed over 300 people in just three days. Friday prayers were cancelled as people were too scared to gather together.
