I've raised £100 to help a volunteer run dog shelter in Trikala, Greece.

I'm running the Norwich 10k on 10th August 2018 - as well as taking part in the event, I thought it would be nice to try and raise a few pounds for a cause that is close to my heart, so I would like to raise some money for a volunteer run dog shelter based in Trikala in north western Greece.
Trikala Animal Welfare Society is a non profit, no kill, volunteer dog rescue serving Trikala and surrounding areas. There are currently about 150 dogs at the Trikala Shelter plus there are 190 strays (70 dogs & 120 cats) that need feeding and looking out for. The volunteers are dedicated to rescuing dogs left homeless and on the streets for whatever reason. They rehome dogs home and overseas wherever possible and those that they consider not adoptable, for whatever reason, will stay in the shelter for the rest of their lives. The volunteers do their work under very adverse conditions but they always do their best by the dogs with what they have got. Most importantly, every penny they receive goes to the animals in their care and on those the streets. Thank you.
