Story

Assalamualaikum

Last year I started raising money to build a mosque as a form of Sadaqah Jariyah (on going charity) on behalf of my beloved Father, who sadly passed away, Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un (Verily we belong to Allah, and verily to Him do we return). May Allah SWT grant him jannatul firdaus and forgive him for his sins. Ameen. Alhamdulillah I have raised £925 of my £3950 target. Inshallah the mosque will be built in one of the poorest parts of Bangladesh.

On the authority of Abu Hurairah (ra) that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, ‘When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (a continuous charity), or knowledge from which benefit is gained, or a righteous child who prays for him’.

Building a mosque is a wonderful act of Sadaqah Jariyah! The reward for building a mosque is unending.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Whoever builds a mosque, desiring thereby Allah’s pleasure, Allah builds for him the like of it in paradise.”

A masjid is at the heart of any local Muslim community. It provides a place for its worshippers to pray and contemplate as well as being a hub for educational programmes and other everyday services. The role of the masjid is to help people learn more about Islam and to nurture their moral and spiritual development.

Please donate however much you can. If you cannot donate then please share my page with others.

May Allah reward you all in this blessed month of ramadan.
