Story

JUNE 2016 Josh Pelland suffered a spinal injury with multiple complications after surviving a 65ft fall whilst climbing in Canada.

September 14th 2018 Josh will HANDCYCLE nonstop for 24hrs back and forth for a total of 288 miles along Canada‘s most scenic mountain passes, the Icefields Parkway. This is to raise awareness and support for his push to compete nationally for Canada and for a podium place at the future Paralympic games

Josh is a former serving Royal Marine who returned to his homeland of Canada after completing operational tours to pursue his passion of climbing. Being accustom to pushing himself in the Marines, Josh carried this into his obsession of climbing and mountaineering until his unfortunate accident in 2016. After less than 2 years since the accident Josh is already pushing the limits in the Handcycle world despite losing the use of his lower limbs.

Icefields Parkway

The purpose of this page is to gain financial support for Josh in his quest to reach the top. Proceeds will go towards to the unique and specific coaches needed for a paralysed athlete. Funds raised will also go towards the very expensive equipment that handclyclists train and compete with and any travel costs between events and training camps.

Please donate to take Josh to the top.
