Story

How does it feel to hear that 1 in 10 girls aged 14-21 can’t afford menstrual products? Does your blood boil when you hear that schoolgirls are resorting to using socks when they’re on their period?

It’s no joke, period poverty is all too real. However, we have tried to shed light on this in our own ‘funny’ way, which you can discover below.

You’ve got a taste of our fabulous team in our mockumentary. However, let us give you a quick introduction as to why we care so damn much about this cause. We’re a team who embraces and celebrates equal opportunity. We’re a team that is proud to have talented women who care dearly about female empowerment and their impact on the world, no matter what their background is. As such, we want to strike up the opportunity to make a difference for those who are unable to be who they are without shame or fear.

So, in light of International Women’s Day, we’re joining forces with Bloody Good Period to put an end to menstrual inequality – and we need your help to do so.

Whatever pennies or pounds you can donate will be collated into a big donation for Bloody Good Period, who are a social enterprise providing menstrual supplies for asylum seekers and those who are unable to afford these necessities. We’d really love for you to recognise our cause and to donate where you can.

It’s about time we put an end to period poverty.

A huge thanks from the team at Your Favourite Story!
