Story
Lymphoma is one of the most common cancers in the young however many of us when we hear the word do not know what it means. More than 62,000 people are diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma yearly. We would like to raise awareness of this horrible disease, so people may recognise the symptoms earlier rather than later.
Tam is a beautiful 20 year old currently going into her third year studying Sociology in Canterbury. She is an amazing person loved by so many people, her energy, humour and smile light up the room when she's around. Her friends and family are all so proud of how strong she has been through this process of finding out about the cancer, and going through chemotherapy, all whilst still being at university and sitting exams.
Unfortunately, Tam has still had to keep her job and work through this process to keep an income. It is draining for her yet she perseveres without complaint. She has costs with the cancer such as buying a wig which is very expensive which adds financial pressure. We would also love for her to have a bit of money to be able to get or do something for herself, so she is overall less stressed through this time.
