In September 2017 I, among others, will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for Cancer Support Scotland. The ultimate goal is to raise a minimum of £5000 to help fund the costs of the trek, in which more than half will be donated to Cancer Support Scotland. With my minimum donation alone I can help 13 cancer patients get the support they need, which is insane! There are likely to be around 15-20 people attempting the trek up the mountain which means an unreal amount money to help a ton of patients.

My first MAJOR fundraising activity will be a 1/2 marathon (my first ever btw) which will take place on October 2nd 2016 in which I would like to raise a minimum of £500. So far I have raised £410 so I am very close to my goal. This date is also very significant for me as this is the anniversary of my dads passing so I am excited to do something that we shared great interest for. I will be doing small events and activities throughout the next year and a half to help me reach my target.

Throughout the last 7 weeks I have been training for my half marathon and although I have wanted to stay in my bed rather than running 9 miles in the rain, I have continued to put my shoes on and pushed myself through it. It has been challenging at points but after events taken place this week I am motivated more than ever to raise as much money as I can and I need your help.

All the money raised is going to an absolutely amazing cause and you would be helping more and more people receive the treatment they need and deserve, as well as helping maintain a comfortable environment and providing support to those who are not physically affected by cancer but helping loved ones through.
