Story

I have decided to run 100km in the month of June with the aim of raising money and donating the proceeds to two charities that provide support, promote fairness and justice for the black community.

It is important to ensure that we all support the continued fight against racism by being proactive and using education as a tool to help others understand what the black community goes through. The chosen charities are Kwanda & Black Minds Matter UK. The proceeds will be split on a 50/50 basis and completed as one off donations based on the final amount raised.

Kwanda is a platform for those who want to build reliable and empowering systems for black communities and promotes through individual projects, workshops and supporting grassroots organisations. If you would like to find out more please visit: https://kwanda.co/about/

Black Minds Matter UK is a charity created to provide mental health support for those who are affected by racism, discrimination and police brutality. They hold regular workshops aimed to create a safe and encouraging environment for young people. Their mentoring programs aim to help with the self-development of members, towards their career and employment goals, for more information please visit: http://blackmindsmatter.co.uk/

Any help in the form of donations and encouragement will be much appreciated.

Thank you,

Tanaka
