🏃♀️ A Year of Movement: Running for The Mignot Memorial Hospital (MMH) in Mum's Memory
Hello everyone, my name is Tanya, and I am embarking on a monumental challenge in 2026 to raise vital funds for the Alderney Hospital in the Channel Islands.
The Hospital and My Mum
Last year, I lost my wonderful mum after her long and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). For many years, the incredible team at Alderney Hospital provided her with loving, critical, and compassionate care. They were a constant source of comfort and support during a time of immense difficulty for our family. This fundraiser is my chance to give back to the place that cared for her so beautifully.
The Gift of Movement
Watching Mum's battle with MS, where she gradually lost all her mobility, taught me a profound lesson: movement is a precious and special gift. It's something I've thought about constantly over the past year.
So, in her honor, I've decided to use my movement in the most challenging and special way possible.
The Challenge: 4 Races in 2026
To celebrate the gift of movement that Mum lost, and to honor her enduring strength, I will be running three incredible races in 2026:
The Reading Half Marathon
The London Marathon
The Race to the Stones (a grueling Ultra Marathon!)
The Malaga 70.3 Ironman
Where Your Donations Go
The funds I raise will be used by Alderney Hospital. By supporting this cause, you are helping to make something positive and lasting out of a heartbreaking outcome.
Please help me stay motivated through the hundreds of training miles. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a genuine difference to the staff and patients at Alderney Hospital.
Thank you so much in advance for your generosity and support!
With love,
Tan xx
