Leket collect 2.5 million meals from hotels/ functions/ canteens and the IDF, plus they pick 17.000 tons (!!!!) of fruit and veg which would otherwise go to waste, and deliver all this to almost 200 charities throughout the country, reaching 175.000 people!

Just to clarify, LEKET don't BUY any food, this is all food that would otherwise have gone to waste. But with 50.000 volunteers, a logistics centre and some refrigerated lorries, they can get it from where it is surplus to where it is sorely needed. Each pound donated generates 4 pounds worth of food, as the food itself is free.
