Story

Dina, Stephen, Krystal & Gary are climbing mount Kilimanjaro in August to help raise money for business and education projects in the Moshi area of Tanzania.

Dina and Stephen will be teaching work life skills to school leavers while Krystal and Gary will be spending a week working with local entrepreneurs teaching business skills. You can see some pictures below of us delivering similar lessons in Rwanda where we saw the positive impact it had. We are so excited to be taking the project to Tanzania and rhe funds raised will go towards enabling those young people and small businesses to take part in the programme.

On Mount Kilimanjaro will be spending six days (and five nights camping) to reach the snowy summit. We face headaches, feeling sick and hallucinations but the physical and mental challenge will be worth to help deliver these great projects.

Kilimanjaro is:

• The highest free-standing mountain in the world at almost 20,000 feet.

• Actually a dormant volcano where you can find a diverse ecological system of cultivated land, rain forest, heath, moorland, alpine desert and an arctic summit.

• Famed for inducing altitude sickness which is the main factor for bearing down on the two-thirds success rate of climbers.
