Story

Toami and Ajai would like to raise money for Alfie Jones by racing the invcbl race.

Alfie is now almost 8 yrs old and was born with an Unbalanced Chromasome Re-arrangement affecting chromasomes 11 and 15, Alfie is the only little boy in the world with this condition therefore there is no information on what we can expect and what problems we may face as he grows.

Alfie has epilepsy and severe Developmental delay involving everything from gross motor skills to his eyesight. He has a moderate to severe hearing loss in both ears and wears hearing aids to help him hear although we don't know how much speech he understands. Alfie is registered as sight impaired although his vision seems to be improving all the time. Alfie has very limited mobility and he can't walk or crawl although he has learned to sit unaided and pull himself along the floor sideways.

Despite everything that is wrong with Alfie, he is a very happy content little man who is loved and adored by all who meet him.

There are lots of specialist equipment and services that would help Alfie to have a quality of life that most people take for granted but unfortunately these items are not given by the nhs and are also really expensive therefore we are trying to raise money. At the moment were are specifically trying to raise money for a comfortable seat for Alfie to sit in at home, something you or I take for granted but due to Alfies ongoing postural needs he has to be well supported at all times. The cost of this chair is close to £3000!  (Just for an armchair 😯)
