My heart breaks to see my widowed mother worry about having a home for Christmas or heating on. The house my mother was living in was covered in black mould as there was water pouring through the roof when the water heater broke. The heating was broken and the electric was almost starting a fire due to incorrect installation. The landlord ignored the issues and left my mother with out heating or hot water for over two weeks. After a year of fighting the landlord to repair she decided to move out after nothing improved.
