    Story

I first attended Recovery college following a severe mental illness and a stay in a phyciatric hospital, i was with people who understood, i learned about my reactions to my enviroment and feelings. I was introduced to coping stratagies, way to manage my illness, communicate, and overall cope with what was happening in my life.
i strongly believe Recovery College saved my life.
The original project had to close due to lack of funding, I feel that so many people have been deprived from having the opportunity to develop the tools for a brighter, well, future.
Please dont under estimate the effect of Well Mental health on the whole community.
If you can please help us maintain this vital service, you never know what is round the corner, where ourselves, families or friends may need to access such services.

    What is the Recovery College?

The Recovery College will provide a safe environment for people to explore their own mental health issues and recovery journeys by accessing a range of co-produced and co-delivered courses. The courses have been developed and delivered by professionals in mental health and those who have experienced a mental health problem.
The objective of the Recovery College is to use education as a route to recovery, supporting individuals to become experts in their own recovery journey.

    Who will it support?

Any adult aged over 18 whose life is impacted by their mental health problems will be welcome at the Recovery College.
All students will have to commit to regular attendance at college, and as such, it will not be appropriate for people whose life is in chaos or crisis
