I am taking part in the English Half Marathon in Warrington in September and wanted to use this opportunity to raise a little (or a lot!) of money for a very worthwhile cause. Jenson's Twinkle Stars is a registered charity, set up by an inspirational young mum that I have been lucky enough to get to know over this past year. After suffering the loss of her beautiful baby boy, Jenson, she set up this charity to support bereaved parents and families. I cannot even begin to imagine the pain of losing a child, but know many who have, both family and friends. With her team at Jenson's Twinkle Stars, Kelly (whilst also looking after her 2 beautiful boys, holding down a job and studying to be a counsellor!) works tirelessly to make a difference to families who are suffering with a bereavement, helping them to try to rebuild their lives while remembering their loved one. She provides support, resources, activities, keepsakes and respite for bereaved children and families. Kelly, like many other bereaved parents, will never admit to being strong, will never take credit for the impact she has on others, as she continually battles with her own grief. But she is passionate about her charity and any money that you can spare, would go a long way in helping her to continue the fantastic work that she does.
