Story

During the COVID-19 pandemic the One YMCA Watford hostel housed 22 of the most vulnerable people in their community - a large majority of these people were entrenched rough sleepers who struggle with mental health and/or drug addictions. They set up a project called The MCISS - The Medium Complex Intense Support Scheme. The MCISS has recently received additional funding to replicate this project, so will increase their capacity to 44 supported bed spaces!

Our son Andy (who works as the MCISS Project Lead) and his team would love to raise some money to give the residents a gift to open on Christmas morning! For many of them this will be their first Christmas for along time in settled accommodation.

We’ve set an initial target of £500 to cover a Christmas present for each person and some hostel decorations for their shared living spaces.
