Here is a letter from Sambir thanking everyone for their generosity.

Kate Harbinson Straus and I have been sending medical supplies to Ukraine via our friend Viktoria, who lives on the Polish/Ukrainian border in Przemysl. These include life-saving haemostatic granules, bandages and CAT tourniquets to stop bleeding.

Doctors there are specifically asking for these items as they have run out of them in Poland and cannot buy them there. They are essential to treat wounded people on the spot and are fairly expensive - nearly £15 per packet of granules - but each one can help save a life.

Viktoria and her friends there have been coordinating direct supplies to medical staff in Ukraine including to the emergency hospital in Kyiv. The deliveries are well organised, picked up almost every day and go quickly to the places where they are most needed to treat the injured. Our friends have a properly developed and reliable network of recipients across Ukraine.

All money donated goes directly to buying supplies.

25.05.22 - A lovely message from Viktoria arrived:

May 22 - supplies have been delivered to Kromatorsk, Donetsk, Voznesenk and Kharkiv.

14.04.22 - We received a letter from the hospital in Mikolayv, which was recently relieved from siege, thanking you all for your donations of haemostatic medications. We did it together!

03.04.22 - Medical supplies from your generous donations arrived in Kyiv City hospital; in Brovary, near Kyiv; Kharkiv; Voznesensk and Donetsk amongst others.

01.04.22 - A list of urgent supplies came to us from Kyiv emergency hospital., including a request for pulse lavage systems and surgical drills.

21.03.22 - A lovely note from Viktoria arrived yesterday:

11.03 - 24.03.22 - Three deliveries of wound treatment products, tourniquets and granules were sourced, dispatched and delivered in Przemysl. Then they all arrived at their final destinations in Ukraine. We have been sourcing products from Poland, France, Germany and the UK.

We will continue to send medical supplies as long we are asked and people are ready to donate. So please spread the word and share our page. Every one of these supplies will help save a life.
