Story
War Out Reach in Schools: (W.O.R.S) is a resource that can be tailored to meet the needs and abilities of all Schools.
GCN Volunteers have experience of working with children and young people with disabilities, Primary and Secondary schools and Further Education.
WW1 'Taste The Trench' Work Shops with Resources including:
Sept 2019 Volunteers from the W.O.R.S. Project, supported the Open Evening at Chosen Hill School.
Patrick (in a WW1 British Trench Officers uniform and he is also an ex pupil from Chosen Hill School ) seen here inside of WW1 Trench display.
Our W.O.R.S. resources and volunteers are able to link a Century old history to the present day eg Shell Shock to PTSD and the Teenagers mental health, with Work Shops made to fit Chosen Hills School curriculum on WW1 medical Treatments.
*Please help 'Crowdfund' our 'War Out Reach in School' project so we can bring 'history alive' for another generation.
The 'War Out Reach in Schools' project (W.O.R.S) tries to bring and keep WW1&WW2 history a live.
At present we have used our own money to buy and hire uniforms to work in Schools from Junior schools in Gloucestershire including Milestone Disabled school, Chosen Hill Secondary school, National Star College (students we complex disabilities).

A massive thank you to all those friends, family and anonymous donors. We are hoping to carried out WW1 WorkShops at the Ribston Hall (girls school) and Chosen Hill Academy. If you know of any schools or groups who would like a WW1 & WW2 Workshop let me know. Also we are going to be promoting the '75th Victory in Europe' anniversary with schools and public groups with Drawings of WW2 Veterans. If you know of any Gloucestershire WW2 Veterans who would like their portrait drawn it will cost £100 per drawing, please let me know?

5 years agoHi all, we are looking at buying WW1 3mx158cm WW1 wall hanging mesh art . The WW1, Wall art are £50 each. Please see the attached pictures. These Large Wall Art will be eye catching and go up insode or outside during events. Any amount will be greatly appreciated. We are very heppy to add Business Names to resources bought with over £100.
