I am going on a four week trip to Malawi run by Camps International. We are trying to improve the standard of living for the local people by building more classrooms as well as refurbishing old classrooms so children have better access to education. We will also build more houses to give more of the local community proper housing. Towards the end of the four week trip we will also help with reforestation in Malawi, as Malawi has currently got the worlds 5th highest rate of deforestatiion.

I am going to give up all electronic devices for at least a week, which will be really difficult for me. I am going to use the time to leanr more about Malawi and the social conditions there, to help to prepare me for my trip. My Mother is going to supervise and make sure I don’t cheat!
