The Tatton constituency is believed to be a safe parliamentary seat for the Conservative Party and rarely elects Labour Party representatives to the Cheshire East Council. Nevertheless, Tatton CLP has seen significant grown in its membership and it is assumed that this is part of growing support for the Labour Party in Tatton. It is therefore believed that the CLP has an opportunity to inconvenience and perhaps challenge the Conservatives given sufficient resources and commitment from the membership.
