When I was born with Grade 3 microtia and deafness in my right ear, doctors told my parents that I may never be able to ride a bike or play sport.

31 years later, I’ve been selected to represent England Deaf Rugby at the 2026 Deaf Rugby 7s World Cup in Tokyo, Japan. 🇬🇧🏉🇯🇵

Representing my country on the world stage is something I’m incredibly proud of. I’ve been involved with England Deaf Rugby since 2015, but this will be my first World Cup and an opportunity I’ve worked towards for many years.

Alongside playing rugby, I work full-time as a Senior Physiotherapist at Worthing Hospital. However, like many athletes competing in deaf and disability sport, representing my country comes with significant costs that I have to help fund myself.

I previously set up a JustGiving page to help towards the cost of getting to the World Cup, and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who donated, shared the page and supported me. That fundraiser has now closed and I have received the money raised through it.

I’ve therefore created this JustGiving page not to start again from £0, but to continue raising the remaining funds I need to get to Tokyo and represent England.

The money raised will go towards the costs associated with travelling to Japan and competing at the World Cup, including travel, accommodation and other tournament expenses.
