Story

The money that I am trying to raise is to go towards the £3750 needed for me to fly out to Kenya. Despite what you may be thinking, this isn't a holiday, because I will be using my time in Africa in participation with Camps international. While we're there we will be helping communities by building homes for those without a roof over their head and schools for children who have a right to an education. We'll also be doing some marine conservation, clearing the beaches of plastic (Which we all know is a big issue at the moment), and helping to save all the animals that may have become trapped in washed up waste. Additionally, we can use the plastic found to turn into keychains that the locals can sell, which gives them a way of making money so they can feed their families. Furthermore, we can use elephant waste to turn into paper (smelly work I know!), which can also give the people a way to make money, and also attract more tourists to the village. Now you may wonder what my reason is to do all this, and it's because as a student myself, I take my education for granted, and I feel that other people should have the right to be educated so that they can go out there and achieve what they've always wanted. Maybe one day these children could go out and help others with their education! Also, the issue of plastic waste has always been one that has been on my mind, especially with our rapidly deteriorating environment, so I'd love to be doing my bit by clearing plastic from Kenyas beaches, and finding a use for it that can benefit the locals instead of leaving it to further destroy our planet. I'd also love to think I was helping the world's oceans, and saving the marine life before there isn't any, I don't think I could imagine an environment without it, could you?
It would mean a massive amount to me, and the people of Kenya, if my total of £500 could be raised, but any donation be very much appreciated. Just think, by doing your part of donating, you're changing lives
