WHAT IS KMY?

Kingston Muslim Youth (KMY) is an independent Muslim mentoring, educational and cultivating organisation that focuses on development, empowerment, and education. We help support and nurture young people and provide them with a framework that develops them in all dimensions, whether that be spiritually, physically, socially, or intellectually.

KMY’s Vision is to see Kingston’s Muslim Youth proud of their identity, living by divine values and who have the resolve to act and make a difference.

KMY's Mission is to transform the lives of young people in Kingston by supporting and challenging young people to become the best they can be.

By working with like-minded organisations, academics, scholars and through consultation KMY aims to nurture success, inspire excellence, and allow our youths to find their natural path to success in the communities they reside in.

KMY wants to provide the youth with a framework that develops them in all dimensions, whether that be spiritually, physically, or intellectually. KMY wants to inspire them to achieve their full potential for this life and the life to come Insha’Allah.

OUR GOALS

• Provide holistic and specific Tarbiyyah for the youth

• Build the necessary skills and tools to bring the youth closer to Allah by being attached to the Qur’an and making the Qur’an a relevant guidance for all situations in life.

• Support our youth at this integral part of their life by providing them with sound values (divine values).

• Building confidence in our youth and strengthening their identity in today’s challenging environment.

• Give young Muslims an opportunity to engage and enjoy themselves in a halal and safe environment.
