I've raised £4000 to help fund much needed educational supplies as well as supporting local communiteis in the Caribbean.

In 2017/18 Just Grenada harnessed the generosity of its customers to provide educational aid for children in the Caribbean.
We identified a number of educational establishments in deprived areas of Grenada and Bequia and our aim was to raise at least £3000 by asking our clients to donate to our ‘Just Giving’ page and we are delighted to have not only reached our target but surpassed it and are currently well on our way to reaching £4000 overall.
We chose to fundraise specifically for educational establishments in two of our destinations because, whilst they appreciate physical supplies, such as pens, pencils, books etc there is a real need for hard cash so they can buy exactly what they need.
Being able to support educational establishments with much needed cash has helped many individuals. It’s a good feeling to know, and for our clients to know, that they can make such a positive impact on young lives.
We have been able to make donations of £1000 to each of our three educational establishments and are looking for a fourth worthy cause. Everyone who has donated should be really proud to know that they’ve made such a positive difference to these children’s lives.
What we have achieved so far:
With the money raised…
The Grenada Community Library in the heart of St George’s was able to provide a salary for the after-school club teacher, without which the club would not be possible.
The Samaritan Presbyterian School in the north of Grenada have wanted an IT lab for a while and have now been able to purchase four new laptops and other I.T. equipment.
The Sunshine School, Bequia, bought a new cooker and other kitchen equipment so they can provide their pupils (children and young adults with special needs ) with a hot meal once a day.
Now as we enter 2020 the story doesn't end.... we will continue to fundraise for a fourth worthy cause and we will update our story as the year progresses. Thank you to all the kind and generous folk who have made a donation so far.
