Hello, I'm Jak, I'm a bootblack and Leatherman from Wales, UK.

Leather and its values are at the core of everything I do. I am the first bootblack to enter IML on a bootblack title and want to represent the bootblacking community, as we are at the very heart of the leather community. Since international Mr Bootblack has paused we have had no representation at international title level for male and masculine presenting Bootblacks. This needs to be changed *before|* we are forgotten.

Besides, are bootblacks not the heart and sole of leather? We are leatherfolk too and deserve to be included as IML participants.

I have been bootblacking for 6 years, competing in Bootblack Europe 2022 (BBE22) and winning. This followed in the footsteps of my nesting partner, Master Alistair Hiraeth BBE20 and IMBB30!
