Weʼve raised £501 to help me fulfil my dream of representing Team GB, having qualified for the ETU European Aquathlon Championships.
- Funded on Monday, 1st October 2018
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
So before I start I realise there are hundreds of more worthy causes around!
Last month I happily recieved news that I have qualified to represent Team GB at the European Aquathlon Championships in October. An aquathlon is a multi discipline event featuring a 1k swim followed by a 5k Run. Like a triathlon without the bike! The ETU European Championships are being held in Ibiza on October 24th.
As many of you will know I have decicated a lot of time and energy to my running in recent years and last summer decided to take on a new challenge by doing a few local aquathlons. Never did I think it would come to this! I have been training my butt off in the gym, pool and trails while working in Kenya for the past year, so am hoping I can do myself and my family proud at this event.
The hitch... as we are working in Kenya and will be travelling from here, I have a hefty flight to pay for if I am going to achieve my dream. As I said, I know there are more worthy causes around. But if you can spare a few £s to help me get there then I would be so grateful!
Thanks so much x
