Myself and my team at work are doing an inflatable 5K obstacle course at Strathclyde Park on Saturday 18th May 2019. We are doing this to raise funds for Monklands Hospital Renal Ward. Most of you will know that my dad has been attending this hospital for a number of years now, while on the Organ Donor Register waiting on a Kidney. Over the last year the PD Room within Ward 1 – peritoneal dialysis room – has become a bit of a second home to my dad. With all the support they have given and continue to do so, even out with their job role, to not only my dad but to my mum & I, we would like to give back. NHS funding doesn’t always stretch to the things that the patients need and are having to buy them on their own or the nurses try and help out where they can. The money we raise will buy things that patients need, support belts etc....
