A bit of history....Climbing Ben Nevis in 1995 with my longstanding friend Louise, was the start of the Three Peaks Challenge!! We didn't want to rush it so waited 22 years to climb Snowdon in 2017. It was a punishing climb due to the weather, but our strong team of 17 family and friends successfully completed it raising just over £6,000, shared between 6 charities chosen in memory of our son Daniel. Last year Louise reminded me that we were both coming up to our 50th birthdays (not that I needed reminding!) and we should finish the peaks, so here we are about a week away from our final challenge. This time 12 of us climbing.

Louise's dad John died a few years ago and his grandchildren have benefitted from the children's bereavement charity Slide Away.

My Uncle John and my wonderful dad Norman both died in February this year, then 4 weeks later our dear friend Colin (who climbed Snowdon with us aged 76!) also died. We are climbing in memory of all these amazing gentlemen.
