Story
This is Summer Rose Thompson, she has just turned two. In her short life she has been through more than most will in a life time.
She spent the first weeks of her life in hospital without anyone knowing what was wrong she was diagnosed with Noonan syndrome which is a genetic condition that can have a wide range of issue like heart and blood problems, learning delay, autism and distinctive facial features, just before her first birthday she underwent open heart surgery and she made a great recovery she was allowed home to be with her then 5 sisters (now 6) mum & dad and they enjoyed Christmas.
On the 19th January her families hearts were broken once more summer was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia since then she has done well with her chemo and fought off so many infections she went into remission After spending 146 days in hospital with her family by her bedside.
Summers cancer has returned she has been given a trial drug from America and undergone a bone marrow transplant from one of her amazing sisters chloe who is 12 years old. Summer is currently in isolation and was unable to see her sisters for around 6 weeks which was very hard on them all, she has overcome VOD disease after a stint in intensive care and is now battling what they think is guest verses host diease. She is a true hero and such a courageous little girl but she has an amazing family behind her supporting her every step of the way.
it is our hope that we can raise enough money that once summer is well enough they can go out and have some adventures as a complete family with out worrying of the cost, This family are truly amazing they have been fundraising themselves for others while their world has been falling apart they are truly selfless and they deserve some happiness and to make some amazing memories together .
