Story

Hi! We are a young Vex IQ robotics team, Technogear. Our team consists of 5 members: Dylan, Ashwin, Anish, Yash and Anubhav. We are a team of Year 9 students at Queen Elizabeth's School for Boys in Barnet. This is our second year competing in the VEX IQ Programme and are in due course to participate in regional, and hopefully national and international stages of this competition.

Last year, our team, Technogear, won 7 awards at regional competitions, then the national Design award. This qualified us to the VEX IQ World Championships, consisting of over 400 teams from over 40 countries.VEX was classed as the largest robotics competition in the world, according to Guinness World Records.

Here we won the Excellence Award (the highest accolade in the competition). We were the first European team to ever win this award, and we even featured on Sky News, BBC London Live and multiple newspapers for winning it.

Competition entry is self funded and we have to pay for travel to competitions and for buying the necessary equipment, which will enable us to improve our robot and heighten our chances of success.

We would really appreciate it, if you could help us in any way that you can, no matter how small or large the donation might be.

For more information, please contact us via email (technogearteam@gmail.com).
