Story

Teckels is a small, independent charity in Whitminster, Gloucestershire. This rescue and rehoming centre is a charitable organisation, which cares for and rehabilitates homeless cats and dogs and finds them forever homes. Unfortunately, Teckels is having a tough time financially and is at risk of closure after 20 years of amazing work. They have just TWO MONTHS to stabilise their financial position to avoid immediate closure. Find out more about the amazing work they do at https://teckelsanimalsanctuaries.co.uk/

I have been volunteering at Teckels for almost 4 years now and many of you will be aware that our gorgeous dog Doris was cared for by Teckels for a while before coming home with Mike and I. We cannot imagine the dogs and cats who are currently cared for at Teckels having to go through the stress of losing their homes (again) and the wonderful Teckels family being broken apart.

So... on Sunday 9th July, we are planning to walk approximately 35 miles; starting at Teckels, to Sharpness, following the canal to Gloucester Docks, before returning to Teckels. We will be extremely grateful for all donations or support in any form! Thanks so much for reading!
