Weʼre raising £1,550 to install the kit required to allow the Devon Air Ambulance to land at nighttime in Christow.

Crowdfunding is the new way to raise money for a personal cause on JustGiving.
The Devon Air Ambulance Trust has launched its night flight programme as a part of extending their services into the evening hours. You can read more about it here - http://www.daat.org/nightflight.
The long and short of it is that I have done most of the work now to bring this to Christow. The landing site has been prepped, the parish council and hall committee are supportive, the local community responder teams are keen all we need now is a bit of kit to allow the HEMS dispatchers to remotely fire up the lights to allow the helicopter to land.
Night flights will allow for local people to be airlifted to hospital after sunset, something that cannot be done currently. 2016 has already seen several visits by the DAAT helicopter - a hugely valuable service that we all hope to never use.
We only need £1530 to complete the work and put this service live. I am seeking large donations from local government at the moment but if you are a local company or generous individual then please give what you can.

Thank you for the latest flurry of support. It is greatly appreciated. We are closer than it looks as Devon County has promised me £1000 and Teignbridge £200 (although this is not available until April). A touch more and I think we will be in the clear once justgiving have taken their little bit. Any surplus (unlikely) will be passed on to Kim's fund. I will update the group as I hear more from the Councils. Thanks, everyone. Once we hit the target I will post updates on the Teign Valley Facebook group.
