Fund Raising Money for Gladstone Road School Minibus

Gladstone School Barry is trying to raise money for there minibus which they have just bought but used there funds which they had set for other projects. They have felt they are in much need of this minibus to get there outreach unit out and about.

The unit consists of children with very challenging behaviours which stops them from being interegrated into main stream school. The school works very closely with the children and there parents and aiming to secure success for them in school and access to an enriching enviroment where they can be helped to understand and regulate there emotions which they do lots of projects to help them with every day life.

Part of the provisions is being able to take them off site to visit different parts of the community including beaches, parks, mountains and the other outreach centre Ysgol y deri. Working with the children off site enables them to access so many resources which will be hugely beneficial for the children.

So myself, Paul (Parent) and Mrs Newman (outreach head teacher) are taking part in the Half Marathon to raise money for this amazing cause.

Please help us raise the money for the running of the minibus and put the funds back into the school.

We will be keeping everyone up to date with all the progress we have. We will be raising money through different activities through the school and out. So watch this space.
