Hi everybody, I am Rubia Carla, Director of Terra Fertil, a Not-for-Profit Organisation based in the city of Goiana, Brazil.

Terra Fertil plays an important role in supporting children who are impacted by domestic violence, prostitution and drug trafficking.

We act as both an orphanage and a day care centre providing food, clothing and schooling for over 2600 children aged from 2 years upwards. We have 22 units within the orphanage which are used as classrooms. These are used to give the children a safe environment, education, a chance for the future, as well as hope and belief in themselves.

But at the moment we're facing a BIG CHALLENGE:

Due to recent changes in government regulations, we have been forced to increase the size of the classrooms and reconstruct the units (!), money we cannot afford, which is why we are asking for your help.

We have already raised enough money to rebuild 7 of the 22 units and need a further £4,000 to finish before the 15th December, when the government will decide whether we can continue to operate.
