Tetley Field is a critical part of the Green Belt of the city of Leeds. It performs an essential part of the Urban Green corridor of the city and is within the Weetwood Conservation area and the spectacular Meanwood Valley.

This space is now at risk from development and permanent removal from the green belt. Despite over 1,500 objections by residents of the city and a planning application by the owners Leeds Rugby and Athletic being removed. Leeds City Council and the owners are still pursuing a change of status for this land through the site allocation plan process.
We need to raise funds to pay for a specialist planning consultant to make our case again, this time at the planning enquiry which is due to take place in the Autumn of 2017.

The housing needs of Leeds will not be resolved through the development of a small number of houses in our city's precious Green Belt. This change of status will only provide a developer with commercial gain and the people of Leeds with a permanent loss of Green space.

This is our last chance to save Tetley Field. Please, please help us to ensure we keep this piece of land in the Green Belt not just for ourselves but for the future generations of our great city just as the original owners of this field intended.
