I've raised £15000 to Aim for Deal Delivers to buy 400 NHS heroes from QEQM Hospital a thoughtful gift from our high street.

Hello Residents of Deal,
My goal is to try and give a gift to the heroes that are working tirelessly at our nearest hospitals, Deal & QEQM from physios, porters, cleaners to nurses and surgeons.
I want to raise money to give our carers a treat. Something they can spend on themselves or their loved ones, a tangible gift, takeaway or dinner out bought from our high street.
With your donations Deal Delivers will buy gift vouchers from the high streets shops, restaurants, pubs, wine bars, forced to closed or have suffered. These will be packaged and delivered to the staff at Deal and QEQM hospital. Our way of continuing to help the high street, while showing our genuine gratitude to the individuals who have done so much for us.
Deal has proved over the last nine months that a community can not only ‘save’ a high street, but they can also be a power for good. Residents and local restaurants have helped by providing free school meals, raised awareness for the Deal food bank and helped by delivering food and essentials to the stranded lorry drivers languishing by the port of Dover.
I want to keep up the momentum, and believe that care in the community can go hand in hand with protecting the high street. One does not prohibit the other. With this in mind, and with the vaccine roll out shining a light towards the end of lockdown, it seemed the right time to think about how Deal could show their gratitude to the carers who have gone beyond the call to nurse and care for Covid sufferers. We can only guess at the toll this has taken on their own health and welfare, let alone their families.
There are 6100 Deal Delivers Facebook members, 2500 of you use the page regularly - if all the regular members gave £10 that would be £25000!! - what a boost to the high street and a fantastic, thoughtful THANK YOU to all our local NHS heroes.
DEADLINE: FEB 26th 2021
As lockdown #1 descended and it became clear that the previously vibrant high street of Deal was going to suffer. Cafes, craft shops, the market and the local artisans found their livelihoods cut off. Deal resident, Calypso Rose decided that action was needed and set about using her own money to seed a website ‘Dealdelivers.com’. Local shops prepared to deliver could register for free online and take their own payments. As an online seller of experiences Calypso knew the value of clean, design led site and also the importance of an interactive Facebook page. Within a week of the launch Dealdelivers.com was receiving 1000 visitors a day, and the Facebook page currently has over 6000 members and growing. Read more >
