Story
After four unforgettable years at the helm of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Nuno Espirito Santo has left the club, and Wolves and the city of Wolverhampton owe a great deal to a man who transformed the fortunes of the team and formed a deep bond with the city and its people. At the same time as improving the side he also reached out to the people of the city in times of need which will leave a lasting impression on all of us. Hopefully the togetherness of The Pack he encouraged in us will go on long into the future and in that spirit I've sought to form a partnership with a cause in order to offer the opportunity to give back a little the same way he gave to us.
"Thank You, Nuno" is a fund set up to support Filhos Sao Tome e Principe , a charity on the West African islands of Sao Tome and Principe, where the great man was born. The charity was set up by Miguel and Esther Martin in 2017 and now offers over 300 children on the islands access to health and educational opportunities via the medium of sports coaching. After searching for the right charity to represent the values Nuno holds dear, what better way than to help the children of his homeland get the best possible start in life and learn through sports coaching. Watch this video to get a sense of the good work the foundation do.

Their main goals are as follows...
1.Improve health and quality of life
2.Develop sports plans to improve social, cognitive and emotional development.
3. Improve nutrition
4. Improve educational and teaching resources.
5. Avoid inclusion of young people in drug addiction , marginalization, unwanted pregnancies.
6. Encourage youth training by providing them with greater resources.

Speaking to Miguel, he said "Our beneficiaries are dreaming of knowing Mr. Nuno. He is well known and admired by all... We believe in teamwork and all the progress we have made til now, has shown us that it's the best way to achieve the biggest and best goals". Nuno couldn't have said it better himself. This is your opportunity to give a little bit back and say thank you to Nuno for the incredible times he gave to the club in the way he would want. Employing 21 coaches in two schools, Filhos administer health check-ups, lessons and football coaching as a means of instilling positive values on the next generation. Every penny you give will help Miguel and Esther expand their programs and improve the lives of a struggling nation.
I know I've felt bereft since his departure and looked for a way to positively channel those feelings. Hopefully, as Wolves fans we can send a message to Nuno that he'll never be forgotten and that we have it in our hearts to reach out to people dear to him the same way he reached out to us. The opportunity to form a long term relationship with Filhos would be a fitting gesture so I'll be contacting the club and local media to see if that is a possibility. Anyone wishing to further this fund or offer useful contacts in those departments can reach me at wolvesjim@hotmail.com. COYW.
Please give as generously as you can. like and share the fund on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
