Disability support

Story

On the 5th July this year my partner, Kevin Downham, suffered a major stroke at the age of 43.

Kev suffered a burst blood vessel in his neck which caused a massive clot to the left side of his brain damaging the right side of his body and his sight and speech. He is improving every day and has little movement in his right arm and leg which is very positive. With him being so young and fit they are confident he will improve but we are unsure of how long or to what level of disability he will recover. He is currently in hospital in rehab.

On the 9th of September some of our friends are doing Tough Mudder to raise money to help Kev with his rehab when he comes home. Kev and his friend Jonny first started running Tough Mudder back in 2014, raising funds for cancer charities. Kev's eldest son was diagnosed with Cancer at the age of 4.

Kev usually joins in with his friends doing this each year but this year that has changed very unexpectedly but his friends are still doing this, but this time will be for Kev, which is amazing of them.
