Story

On July 3, 2021, a team of walkers will embark on The Six-Peak MND Challenge!

The crew will tackle three peaks, in each Yorkshire and Lancashire, covering over 40 miles - in a gruelling 24-hour trek - split across two days.

Fundraising has begun, with all monies raised being shared by two fantastic causes: The Darby Rimmer MND Foundation and The Rob Burrow Fund.

Our crew are determined to help find a cure and treatment for motor neurone disease.

The hike will begin in Lancashire, at Pendle Hill. From there, across 19.6 miles, it will be on to Weets Hill before closing for day one at Boulsworth Hill.

Day two will begin in Yorkshire, at Whernside, with Pen-y-ghent, Ingleborough and 20.6 miles standing between the walkers and the finishing line.

Whernside is the highest of the Yorkshire peaks, standing at 2,415ft. The other two are Ingleborough (2,372ft) and Pen-y-ghent (2,272ft).

In Lancashire, the team will scale 1,827ft at Pendle Hill before moving on to Weets Hill (1,250ft) and Boulsworth Hill (1,696ft).

Please donate and help us #AttackMND while supporting two remarkable causes, launched after sporting stars Stephen Darby and Rob Burrow were diagnosed with motor neurone disease.,

So far, the two organisations have raised more than £750,000 and you can play your part in helping us continue the fantastic fundraising efforts!
