I've raised £750 to Help support two amazing charities close to our hearts.

Myself and Stuart have decided to run The Lap - The Lap is a 47 mile ultra marathon around Lake Windermere. We're doing this over 9th & 10th May 2025.
We would like to raise at least £750, and split this between The BSCDA Trust Fund and Prostate Cancer UK.
We have chosen these two charities because, I have had and currently have family and friends who are suffering from prostate cancer and we would like to do our bit to help fund research into combating this horrid disease. Also, as many of you may already be aware both Stuart and I follow F1 stockcar racing, Stuart has followed the sport for 41years and myself for 11years, we get along very well with a number of the drivers and chat with them regularly at meets, these drivers give us and many other such amazing entertainment, in a pretty high speed high adrenaline sports and feel it's about time we gave something back.
The BSCDA Trust Fund is the British Stockcar Drivers Association Trust Fund - The Trust Fund was setup in 1976 following the tragic loss of Brian Wallace (119). Brian, from Farnworth in Lancashire, started racing in 1972 but was tragically killed in a crash at White City, Manchester in June 1976. Racing with a red roof, the throttle of the 119 car jammed open and crashed flat out into and almost through the safety fence. The Trust Fund was created to help the drivers and their loved ones in the event of injury or loss of life. The fund has helped a number of drivers and dependants over the years following accidents while racing.
Prostate Caner UK - they're striving for a world where no man dies from prostate cancer. 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer. They work to give every man the power to navigate it. Whether that’s helping them to understand their risk, make the right choice about treatment or get the eexpertise they need to feel informed and in control.
