Story

Abigail was born with Dilated Cardiomyopathy, at the age of 10, she went into heart failure and required a heart transplant.

In April 2018, she was diagnosed with Post Transplant Lymphoma Disease (PTLD), a type of cancer caused by immune suppression.

Much of 2018 has been spent receiving chemo, and whilst it has reduced the disease it has not totally destroyed it.

Abigail's PTLD is a rare form and there are two drugs, Bortezemib and Daratumumab which can be used to elimate the cancer. However, the NHS are not prepared to fund the use of the Bortezemib down to cost and claims that there isn't enough evidence to prove effective. Bortezemib is used in the USA for the treatment and evidence is available to prove the effectiveness.
The Daratumumab has also been refused by the drug company.

We are trying to raise funds to enable us to provide the Bortezemib for Abigail's treatment, either in the UK or elsewhere.

Every penny and pound contributed to this cause is welcomed with much love and thanks!
