I've raised £1000 to support the Hands Up Project in enabling children in Gaza to perform their plays in theatres in the West Bank.

I met Nick Bilbrough more than 2 years ago thanks to my husband Edoardo who at that time was working with him. Nick talked about the Hand Up Project and the fantastic activities they organise with Palestinian and Syrian children online. There are currently over 40 volunteers around the world who are giving up their time to tell stories and do other online learning activities with children in Palestine.
This year I am running my first half marathon in Cambridge and I’ve decided to raise money to donate to this charity. Every penny you donate will go towards supporting Palestinian refugee children in Gaza. It will pay for the costs involved in running drama clubs in their UNRWA schools and enable kids from these clubs to perform their plays to audiences outside of Gaza. We want these very creative children to be able to tell their stories to the world, and by this provide them with hope for their future.
